The British player advanced to round three in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slam events in the current campaign.

Britain's Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the last two tournaments this season because of a health issue she has been fighting for the last week and a half.

Raducanu, aged 22 had planned to participate in events in Asia but opted to return home to regain her health ahead of launching plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training are set to feature her coach Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating again next season.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring while playing the initial match against Ann Li in Wuhan and stopped playing when losing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She again required a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

She was also playing with clear difficulty in the final set against Zhu owing to back discomfort that has been a concern on several occasions in 2025.

Those results signaled a promising season, in which the player advanced into the international top 30 after more than three years since her previous ranking, ended with three successive defeats.

Raducanu had three match points before losing to Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.

Raducanu won twenty-eight matches this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but her standout performance was at the Miami event in March.

The British number one made the last eight of a premier WTA event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She was coached by Mark Petchey as coach from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.

The initial agreement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was until the end of the season but the collaboration persists, with planned training sessions late this year.

She mentioned that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

The player was close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their first tournament together in Cincinnati during August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in the New York tournament, where she made the third stage before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
