That Gory Cartoon Film Ending That Stays With Fans

Out of every mature cartoon movies I have personally watched, nothing has remained with me as much as the fear-filled conclusion of a graphically gory as well as highly provocative film from 2022 The Unicorn Wars.

In 2015’s, this Spain-based filmmaker crafted a dark, bleak and frequently brutal world that included a few small , desolate twinges of hope.

Although The Unicorn Wars seems like it originated from a desire to advance animation further, the director explained that it was rather a try to convey a universal, cross-cultural theme about “the common origin of every conflict.”

This theme is communicated via a squad of vividly colored bears , obviously inspired by a famous series of lovable figures.

Growing up in a society built around aggression and the military-industrial complex, numerous these creatures are consumed by exterminating the mythical beasts, due to a religious scripture which states them they previously were masters of the woodland, before the unicorns expelled them.

A few haven’t fully accepted the brainwashing, , choose to try out substances or fornicate in the forest.

In contrast to their gentle counterparts, these colorful critters have visible genitals , definite libidos.

For a certain particularly cruel, pessimistic creature, the character Bluey, the war with the unicorns becomes a road to control — and especially to supremacy over his softer, kinder brother the bear Tubby.

The character acts as a tormentor and an obvious antisocial figure , and as terror overcomes his group and takes his fellow soldiers sequentially, he takes increasingly influence personally, via progressively bloody, harmful methods.

Meanwhile, these mythical beings are experiencing their own terror, as a growing, harmful creature in their forest.

“Initially, it feels like a lighthearted film,” the filmmaker commented. “However it evolves into a more dramatic and sad film. And by the end, it transforms into a horror film.”

Unicorn Wars begins feeling a bit like one of the most whimsical films by a renowned filmmaker, that discover a naughty glee in permitting cartoon characters curse, fire weapons, or engage sexually.

Then it turns into closer to a more grim work by that same director, including ever more graphic violence , a palpable relation to the actual tragedy of battle.

In the finale, it’s a full-on Grand Guignol bloodbath.

The terror that turns this a perfect Halloween movie kicks in much sooner than that description suggests.

Unicorn Wars is suited for the devoted fans of gore, for fans of intense movies who wish to see a film they haven’t ever seen on-screen before, and can endure a plot that offers unflinching brutality.

View it in a dimly lit space with no disturbances, and the conclusion will dig deep within you and stay with you.
