The visionary game developer, the mind behind the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The celebrated video game developer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
